The client
The client is a savings and credit cooperative, registered with the Ministry in charge of cooperatives since 2003, with two branches in the south of Mauritius.
Members save a small amount every month. After a year of saving they can borrow a multiple of their savings, with insurance cover included.
The problem
A savings-backed loan comes with conditions: minimum savings, a waiting period, guarantors, repayment terms and insurance benefits. Written as a list of rules, it discourages exactly the families it is meant to help.
The same message also had to work at very different reading distances: a brochure read at a table, a poster on a branch wall and banners seen across a room.
What they needed
- A warm, human headline in the language members speak
- The key numbers (how much, at what rate) readable at a glance
- Every condition and benefit explained clearly, in French
- A worked example so members can see what the insurance pays
- Direct contact for each branch, and a way to see real members’ testimonials
What we built
The campaign is built around one Kreol headline, “Nou la pou ed twa avanse” (we are here to help you move forward), set in bold orange blocks over a family photo. The credit union’s blue, orange and green run through every piece.
The tri-fold brochure walks through the offer in the order a member thinks about it: how it works, how much I can borrow, and what happens to my family if something happens to me. A repayment table shows a real example, and a QR code opens video testimonials.
The A0 poster and the two 80 × 200 cm roll-up banners take the same headline, loan amount and interest rate, sized to be read from a distance, with the WhatsApp number of each branch.

Challenges we solved
Explaining a financial product simply
Conditions, insurance and benefits are grouped into three questions a member actually asks, with a worked example instead of legal wording.
Three reading distances
The brochure carries the detail; the poster and roll-ups keep only the headline, the key figures and the contact, sized for a room.
Speaking the members’ language
A Kreol headline makes the campaign feel local and personal, while the details stay in French, as members expect for financial terms.
The result
The credit union has a consistent campaign across four printed pieces, with one message and one look from the brochure in a member’s hands to the banners at its branches.
